Skincare Dupes: Vitamin C Serums

Welcome back to Molly’s Favorites approved drugstore dupes! Today I am going to share two awesome vitamin C serums with collagen.

Why are vitamin C and collagen good for your skin? Vitamin C protects your skin cells from damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure. It also inhibits melanin production in the skin, which helps to lighten hyperpigmentation and brown spots, even out skin tone, and enhance skin radiance (info from CNN). Collagen strengthens the skin and promotes elasticity and hydration.

So protection from damage, strengthening, elasticity and hydration? Sounds like a no brainer to me!

I am going to share our high end option first, which is a product I have been using over the past year and have been loving! Then I will get into the details of our drugstore dupe, which, might just take the cake for my favorite vitamin C serums and is a fraction of the price!

High End Product

$74 – Ole Henriksen Truth Serum

Our high end products is the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum! This product has been a favorite of mine for awhile now. It smells great and goes on smooth, it is slightly sticky on the skin after it dries but every vitamin C serum I have tried is sticky to some extent. Don’t get me wrong, this is an awesome product. But, having tried our drugstore dupe, I can honestly say, save your money and skip Sephora sis! Check out our dupe below…

Drugstore Dupe

$27 – Bliss Bright Idea Vitamin C Serum

Introducing our drugstore dupe… Bliss Bright Idea Vitamin C Serum. This serum is amazing and the price is unbeatable! And guess what… I’ll let you in on a little secret… I like this product better than the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum… don’t tell anyone. Just kidding, tell everyone! This product seriously lives up to its higher end sister and is a fraction of the price for the same amount of product. AND it is not as sticky, a huge plus!!! I would highly suggest trying out this serum, you will not be disappointed.

If you want to try a vitamin C serum, I wouldn’t look any further than the Bliss Bright Idea serum. I have tried several vitamin C serums from high end brands and the Bliss serum seriously blows them all out of the water. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this product!
